Advertising Terror -
Corporate & Communication Design Strategies of Terrorist Organizations

Based on the study and book "Branding Terror - The Logotypes and Iconography of Insurgent Groups & Terrorist Organizations" published in 2013 by Arthur Beifuss, a journalist and former UN counter-terrorism analyst, and Francesco Bellini, a creative director, this research "Advertising Terror - Corporate & Communication Design Strategies of Terrorist Organizations" is proposed by a HKB research team lead by Arne Scheuermann.

With focus on the Islamic State's unique sophistication of their social media operation and its slick communication skills, the aim of this research is to look at potential alternative narratives to counter that of the Islamic State's.
